Contact

You can contact Ruskin Apothecary by using the form below. If you’d like to be added to the mailing list, please write ‘mailing list’ in the subject line. Please be aware that it often takes a week before I can respond to emails (unless marked ‘Urgent’) due to teaching commitments.

It is not possible to give specific herbal advice over the internet or phone without knowing the full context and making a face to face assessment. Any recommendations without a full medical history would be very general and potentially inappropriate. However, we will always try to help as far as we can!

If you prefer not to use contact forms, email me at the spam confounding:

or else call on 01453 488 140 and leave a message (the phone is not answered), though there is often long delay in replying to phone messages.

Camping / accommodation for those attending courses

Often people come and camp at Stroud Slad Farm (www.stroudsladfarm.co.uk) which is run by Sarah and Paul who can be contacted on 01453 808 103 or else food@stroudsladfarm.co.uk. The setting here is beautiful in the Slad Valley, and it is where we are developing our herb garden. Camping is basic farm camping with access to showers.

Alternatively Thistledown campsite is about 2 miles (though a very uphill 2 miles if you are walking) from the Apothecary. Their website is www.thistledown.org.uk. They get booked well in advance so its definitely worth booking.

I can also recommend three possible informal B+B’s run by friends if you contact me directly.

If you prefer a bit more luxury, people have recommended Wild Garlic in Nailsworth (a B+B and restaurant)
